Economic situation in which three conditions are present: high inflation, increased consumer prices, and reduced, stagnant, or negative economic growth. It is one of the most complex economic problems to solve because the measures to alleviate it are contradictory: on the one hand, controlling the escalation of prices is of interest, and on the other hand, reactivating the economy to promote growth by controlling interest rates, all while increasing the unemployment rate among the active population.
